Fox & Hounds Tavern has been hosting memorable moments for friends since 1928. Almost a hundred years later, Fox and Hounds still lives in the tradition of the tavern for the weary traveller and the gathering place for the neighbourhood common-folk. Although perhaps the tavern has never really been as quiet and subdued as this journalist may have us believe. This was written in The Hotel News in 1928 and remains true today. "It conveys the impression of being a social centre wherein one may with ease and comfort pass a quiet hour with a neighbour". It keeps the 'public house' feel with wooden furniture, a tap constantly flowing with beer, dart boards, a pool table, soft lighting, and a bartender who knows your name and preference.
